If 50 minutes of thematic desert fuzz sounds like the way to start your weekend, then get over to Germany’s WASTELAND HAZE’s page on Bandcamp on April 17 for their new album, “Lonestar.” With dry, dusty riffs telling the story of post-apocalypse survivors, layered with eerie samples evoking a sense of desperation, this is an album worthy of any stoner rock fan’s time.
“Lonestar” is Wasteland Haze’s second full-length album. The band’s members are Björn, Hendrik & Christian out of Düsseldorf, Germany.
From the band:
Lonestar is an Italian-western like revenge story, postponed into the wasteland setting, where the last survivors of the extinction event try to survive. For the first time we tried another way for the songwriting process, then we did it on our previous releases. We wrote the story for the whole record first and then composing and creating the music around it, with the ideas in our heads. The result is a much more cinematic, complex and dynamic storytelling through the whole record. We hope you love it as much as we do, we put our whole hearts and souls into this one.
